The Abu Dhabi Department of Health is one of the most important regulative bodies of the Healthcare Sector in the United Arab Emirates. It is responsible for developing policies and strategies with an overarching policy that sets out the objectives against each policy priority area and the strategies to achieve them.

It also regulates and licenses healthcare facilities, professionals and provides public health services. It also develops programs and initiatives, health education and awareness campaigns and ensures excellence in Healthcare for the community by monitoring the health status of the population and ensuring that healthcare facilities are state of the art.
