Ali Hashemi is a health tech investor with a particular focus on the application of deep learning and complex algorithms to solve challenging problems in healthcare. Ali is also the Co-Founder and Chairman of GluCare.Health, a hybrid healthcare metabolic disease perform generating among the best outcomes globally for its patients. Ali previously founded Amana Healthcare, a continuum-of-care hospital platform in the Middle East, acquired by Mubadala Healthcare in 2018. Earlier, Ali was a member of the Healthcare and Private Equity Practices at Bain&Co, based in New York City, and later founded and led the Middle East Healthcare Practice at Booz&Co, based out of Dubai. Ali studied Medicine and earned his MBA concurrently from McGill University. He earned a B.S.E. with Distinction from Duke University with a dual major in BioMedical Engineering and Religion and a minor in Chemistry. Ali is a member of the Global Advisory Board for the Duke Fuqua School of Business, a lecturer for the Duke Global Executive MBA Program, and a proud Duke basketball fan.
