Gaurav is a seasoned BD executive & BOD advisor from life sciences industry with more than 15 years of strategy and corporate development experience. On the buy-side, he has worked at Amgen, Shire and last big pharma job was at Gilead Sciences as head of oncology BD. Gaurav has also done sell-side BD with VP / CBO roles at biotech companies over the last several years.

Gaurav has significant deal experience with over $20B worth of deals done across therapeutics with various deal structures including, IN& OUT licensing, spinouts, M&A and R&D collaborations. Some of the notable deals are:

Successfully identified and led multiple M&A deals of various sizes; a) Gilead’s – Forty-Seven Inc. ($4.9B, oncology), Cell Design Labs ($567M, cell therapy) b) Amgen - Onyx Pharma ($10.4B, oncology), deCODE Genetics ($415M, platform)
