
Dr. Shereena Khamis Al Mazrouei

Shereena K. Al Mazrouei is the director of health promotion and public health programmes at the Abu Dhabi Public Health Centre (ADPHC). She leads programmes in areas including public health training, research, stakeholder management and health promotion, and is a member of the Abu Dhabi research committee on covid-19 and the ADPHC’s covid-19 task-force.
She is a doctor by background, having graduated from the faculty of medicine and health sciences of the United Arab Emirates University (UAEU) in Al Ain. She also holds a master’s degree in public health from UAEU and has completed the global clinical scholars training programme at Harvard Medical School, with a concentration on epidemiology.
Dr Al Mazrouei joined the Abu Dhabi department of health in 2006 and led multiple programmes, such as the introduction of the human papillomavirus vaccine in the emirate, screening for congenital heart diseases in newborns using pulse oximetry, and the My Health Coach application. She has also participated in forming policies and standards related to maternal and child health.
