Dr. David Nace is the Chief Medical Officer at Innovaccer, a leading San Francisco-based healthcare data platform serving over 150 health systems. As a member of Innovaccer’s executive team since 2017, Dr. Nace leads a team of nationally known executives who support Innovaccer’s strategy, operations and customers in developing, implementing, and succeeding with value-based care strategies.


Dr. Nace’s executive management experience features senior leadership roles including VP/ Chief Medical Officer at McKesson Corporation, and SVP/ Chief Medical Officer with UnitedHealth Group and VP/ CMO with Aetna. Immediately prior to joining Innovaccer, Dr. Nace was the Chief Medical Officer for MarkLogic, an innovative data management organization.


Dr. Nace currently serves on the advisory board for the Healthcare Transformation Task Force, the Healthcare Leadership Council with the Healthcare Finance Management Association. For over a decade he served as board member and chair for the Patient Centered Primary Care Association and the Integrated Healthcare Association, a statewide multi-stakeholder leadership group that promotes quality improvement, accountability, and affordability of healthcare in California. He has also served as an advisor and council member with the American Psychiatric Association, American Medical Association, Business Group on Health, World Health Organization, and the International Labor Organization on issues ranging from health promotion and wellness to healthcare financing issues.

Dr. Nace completed his medical education at University of Pittsburgh, Family Medicine training at the York Hospital, and Psychiatry residency at UPMC’s  Western Psychiatric Institute and Clinic, where he subsequently served as faculty in his early career.
