Dr. Marie Ibrahim is a seasoned professional with over 17 years of experience spanning clinical practice, regulation, bioethics, public policy, and governance in the health and biotech sectors. She is the Associate Director of Regulatory Affairs at Insights Research Organization and Solutions (IROS), where she oversees regulatory operations for clinical trials and human participant research, ensuring compliance and site readiness.
Dr. Marie previously served as the Director of the Medical Research and Development Division at the Department of Health – Abu Dhabi (DoH) during a strategic secondment, where she led efforts to advance research governance and innovation. Prior to that, she headed the Research and Education Regulation Department at Dubai Healthcare City Authority, managing oversight of both non-interventional studies and complex clinical trials. She also served as the Regulatory Representative on the IRB of Mohammed Bin Rashid University of Medicine and Health Sciences.
She currently sits as the Deputy Chair of the G42 Laboratories Ethics Committee.
Dr. Marie holds a Doctor of Dental Surgery degree, a Master’s in Healthcare Management, a Postgraduate Diploma in Clinical Leadership and Innovation from the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland. She also completed advanced studies in public policy analysis at the London School of Economics and Political Science.
Her multidisciplinary expertise uniquely positions her to drive ethical, regulatory, and strategic excellence in clinical research and health policy.
