Shiraz Bajwa is the Senior Operating Director at a Sheikh Shakhbout Medical City in the UAE. With over 20 years of experience in operations, strategy, and performance improvement, across numerous industries his current focus is on improving patient access, clinical efficiency, and financial performance.  His Master of Business is in Operations Management and he is a Lean Six Sigma Master Black Belt, building and leading the deployment of Lean Six Sigma programs in 5 large organizations.

Shiraz has led data driven process transformation efforts throughout his career, including at SickKids Hospital in Canada, Sidra Hospital in Qatar, and at SSMC Hospital in the UAE.   He has also developed established hospital-wide data governance and management systems in support of become data-centric. These efforts have helped build foundations for decision-making and performance tracking in operations, quality, and finance. 

He is currently leading the growth of new service lines—including cancer, cardiology, and women's & women’s health—to build the hospital’s identity and support long-term growth in the region. 

Passionate about coaching, Shiraz strongly believes in the concept of giving people control and empowering them to make and act on data-driven decisions as close to the front line as possible.
