Ali Besri is the Vice President, Emerging Markets Access and Accord Lead, for Pfizer’s global initiative Accord for a Healthier World. He leads Pfizer’s efforts to help enable greater access to healthcare innovation for 1.2 billion people living in 45 lower-income countries around the world. Through the Accord, Pfizer has committed to enable access to the full portfolio of medicines and vaccines for which it has global rights – both current
and future products – on a not-for-profit basis to 45 lower-income countries.

Prior to this role, he was the North Africa Cluster Lead and Morocco Country Manager, leading an organization of more than 300 colleagues and being the external face and voice of Pfizer with the most senior stakeholders in North Africa, such as governments, trade and patient associations, scientific societies, and Payers; working together to address the healthcare needs of the countries and deliver Pfizer’s breakthroughs that change the
lives of millions of patients. In parallel to his responsibilities at Pfizer, he has served as the president of the
pharmaceutical trade association in Morocco.

Prior to the Cluster Lead role, Ali was the Marketing Lead across different therapeutic areas in the Africa and Middle East region at Pfizer, based in Dubai. Ali has more than 20 years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry. He has been with Pfizer since 2003 and he holds a master’s degree in business administration.
