From balancing balance sheets to tipping the scales of gender balance and healthcare equity, a Chartered Accountant turned Social Entrepreneur, Alisha Moopen is at the forefront of Transforming the Journey from Illness to Wellness for millions of people across the globe. Currently serving as the Managing Director and Group CEO of Aster DM Healthcare, Alisha is building a sustainable future for the organization and the 38-year-old legacy built by her father, Padmashree Dr. Azad Moopen, whose vision to make quality healthcare accessible helped Aster reach tens of millions of patients over the years. Alisha aims to scale up this impact to reach hundreds of millions of people across the globe through a unique combination of physical and digital means. Her driving goal and ambition is to create healthcare equity for all.

Alisha was elected by the World Economic Forum as a Young Global Leader to join the class of 2018 and she was the first female Chapter Chair of YPO’s Dubai Chapter, a global leadership organization that brings together over 27,000 chief executives from over 130 countries. She is the Founder and Vice-Chairwoman of Dubai Healthcare Business Group. In 2023, Alisha was appointed to the Board of Directors for Sharjah Research, Technology and Innovation Park, under the leadership of HH Sheikha Bodour Al Qasimi, as per a decree issued by HH Dr Sheikh Sultan Bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah.
