Professor Aymeric Lim currently serves as the Chief Executive Officer of Singapore's National University Hospital (NUH), a 1,250-bed tertiary care facility within the National University Health System (NUHS). As the principal teaching hospital for the NUS Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine, NUH plays a crucial role in medical education. Professor Lim also holds a professorship in the NUS Department of Orthopaedic Surgery.

Throughout his distinguished career, Professor Lim has held numerous key leadership roles. These include Group Chairman of the Medical Board (2017-2020) and Group Chief Human Resource Officer (2018-2019) at NUHS, as well as Chairman of the Medical Board at NUH (2008-2016). His expertise extends beyond the medical field, as evidenced by his service as Commanding Officer of a Combat Support Hospital (2009-2015) in the Singapore Armed Forces. Additionally, he served as Vice-Dean at the medical school (2017) and Dean of the Healthcare Leadership College (2012-2021) at Singapore's Ministry of Health Holdings.

Under his guidance, NUH has adopted a digital-first strategy, implementing AI-based neuroimaging for stroke detection and a real-time data dashboard to optimise patient care. NUH was among the first to adopt Next Generation Electronic Medical Records in Singapore's public healthcare.

An internationally recognised hand and reconstructive microsurgeon specialising in peripheral nerve surgery, his research has led to innovations in tendon and nerve transfers. His contributions to healthcare earned him the Public Administration Medal (Gold) (COVID-19) in 2022. Beyond his professional work, Professor Lim is committed to humanitarian efforts, leading medical missions to countries like Afghanistan, Cambodia, Zambia, and Indonesia.
