Bayna Saif Al Awani is the Acting Director General of Healthcare Payers and Finance Affairs at the Department of Health.

With over 20 years of experience in financial strategy and financial transformation in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi, Al Awani has excelled in the field of public finance management. She has played a pivotal role in implementing sustainable short and long-term models in the areas of finance and healthcare, ensuring the sustainable growth of these sectors in Abu Dhabi.

Prior to joining the Department of Health, Al Awani served as the Chief Financial Officer at Abu Dhabi Global Market (ADGM), where she played a key role in financial strategy and leadership. She also previously held the position of Chief Financial Officer at the National Health Insurance Company - Daman, where she contributed to the implementation of sustainable practices in the fields of healthcare and finance.
Al Awani holds an Executive MBA in Financial Services and Insurance from the University of St. Gallen and Vlerick Business School in Switzerland and Belgium, and a Bachelor's degree in Accounting from the United Arab Emirates University.
