Dr. Cecilia Radu began her career as a Medical Doctor at the University Hospital in Iasi, Romania, where she developed a solid foundation in clinical practice. Transitioning to the pharmaceutical industry, she held senior roles at GSK and Sandoz, where her leadership and strategic insights contributed to notable advancements.

In 2016, Dr. Radu joined Novo Nordisk as General Manager for Novo Nordisk Romania. Under her leadership, the organisation underwent significant changes, enhancing its market presence and successfully launching new treatments for patients with obesity, diabetes, and rare diseases. Her tenure was marked by strategic growth and innovation, and as a testament to her leadership skills, she was elected President of the Romanian Pharma Association in 2022 and earned industry recognition with IQVIA awards for best product launches in 2021 and 2022.

Since September 2024, Dr. Radu is the new Vice President and General Manager for Novo Nordisk UAE. She is currently overseeing an important transition period, where Novo Nordisk continues to lead in the discovery and treatment of obesity. Her extensive experience and commitment to advancing healthcare make her a vital asset to Novo Nordisk and the UAE healthcare sector.
