H.E. Mikhail Murashko is a distinguished leader in Russian healthcare, with a career spanning over several decades. He began his professional journey in 1986 with the Armed Forces of the USSR Ministry of the Interior, before earning his degree from the Order of the Red Banner Urals State Medical Institute in 1992. Following his medical training, he worked as a resident physician and obstetrician-gynaecologist in Syktyvkar.

In 1996, he became the deputy chief doctor of the Komi Republic Perinatal Centre and quickly advanced to leadership roles, including Chief Doctor of the Republic Medical Association (1996–2000) and the Republic Perinatal Centre (2000–2006).

H.E. Murashko served as the Minister of Healthcare for the Republic of Komi from 2006 to 2011 before joining the Federal Service for Supervision of Healthcare in 2012. He was appointed Acting Head in 2013 and later became its Head, serving from 2015 to 2020.

On January 21, 2020, H.E. Murashko was appointed Minister of Healthcare of the Russian Federation, and he was reappointed to the position in May 2024. He is a professor at Sechenov First Moscow State Medical University and holds a PhD and DSc in medicine, with significant contributions to perinatal care.

H.E. Murashko's work has earned him several prestigious honors, including the Order For Merit to the Fatherland and the Medal For Merit to Domestic Healthcare.
