H.E Prof Dr Khaled Abdelghaffar is now holding a position of Deputy Prime Minister Human Development and Minister of Health & Population

• Since June 2024, H.E has been appointed as a Deputy Prime Minister for Human Development 
• Minister of Health and Population since August 2022 
•  Former Minister of Higher Education & Scientific Research from 17 February 2017 till 31 August 2022 and Acting Minister of Health and Population, Egypt from September 2021 – August 2022

And is a professor of Oral Medicine, Oral Diagnosis, Oral Radiology and Periodontology, Faculty of Dentistry, Ain-Shams University.

In Ain Shams University , H.E. has been appointed as the  Vice President of Ain Shams University for Graduate Studies and Research and was awarded the State Encouragement Prize in Medical Sciences and  published 20 research papers in international journals and magazines and as dean of Faculty of  Dentistry in Ain Shams in 2014,  and  headed the Department of Oral Medicine, Periodontolgy, Diagnosis and Radiology  at the Faculty of Dentistry, Ain Shams University, 

From 2009 to November 2015.  H.E supervised more than 150 MSc. and Ph.D. researches. He is a member of numerous professional societies as the American Academy of Periodontology, International Academy of Periodontology, and American Academy of Implant Dentistry, American Academy of Oral Medicine, International Association of Dental Research, American Dental Association, Egyptian Clinical Dental Society, Egyptian Implantology Dental Association and Egyptian Dental Association.
