H.E. Dr. Rashed Alsuwaidi is the Director General of the Abu Dhabi Public Health Centre (ADPHC), with over 21 years of experience in healthcare within and beyond the UAE. Specializing in ophthalmology with a focus on the retina from the University of Cologne, Germany, he has held key medical and administrative roles, including Acting Director General of the Healthcare Regulatory Sector at the Department of Health – Abu Dhabi (DoH).
Dr. Rashed has spearheaded strategic healthcare initiatives, including developing Abu Dhabi’s workforce master plan and advancing medical education programs, significantly increasing Emirati medical personnel. His leadership has strengthened healthcare quality, regulatory standards, and patient safety, fostering excellence across four key areas:
- Healthcare Quality: Ensuring compliance with regulations and standards for licensed health facilities.
