Mohamed bin Zayed Foundation for Humanity

Tala Al Ramahi represents the Mohamed bin Zayed Foundation for Humanity, an innovative philanthropy
based in the United Arab Emirates, dedicated to advancing human potential and opportunity. Tala works
in service of the Foundation’s mission to pioneer sustainable progress in global health and inclusive
development, for the benefit of communities worldwide.

In this role, Tala drives the Foundation’s efforts to strengthen health systems; combat preventable
diseases, and unlock opportunity for those who need it most. Current programs include multi-year
investments in disease elimination – including polio, malaria and neglected tropical diseases – alongside
collaborative commitments designed to uplift vulnerable communities such as people with disabilities,
and mothers and babies.

Tala is a member of the steering committee for the Reaching the Last Mile Fund, a US$500M multidonor
fund established by His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed, which seeks to eliminate two neglected
tropical diseases from the continent of Africa and Yemen by 2030. She also serves on the Board of the
Special Olympics UAE.

In 2023, Tala took a lead role in the delivery of the Reaching the Last Mile Forum at COP28, an event that
saw US$1.8BN in new funding committed to global health causes. This included a milestone pledging
moment that secured more than US$777M towards efforts to combat neglected tropical diseases.
Prior to joining the Mohamed bin Zayed Foundation for Humanity, Tala served as Chief Strategy Officer
for the Special Olympics World Games 2019, which took place in Abu Dhabi, working to advance and
accelerate inclusive priorities, policies and programs for people with disabilities with local and global
stakeholders.

Tala holds a bachelor’s degree in economics from Stanford University and a master’s degree in journalism
from the Columbia Graduate School of Journalism.
